BIL Willis, as a native Oregonian, has lived most of his life in Oregon.  He graduated from Gresham Union High School in 1964, and from Oregon State University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Management.  BIL spent a little over two years in the U.S. Army as an aide-de-camp to two general officers and as a company commander. 


After his military experience, BIL worked in forestry for about 10 years, including owning his own small logging and consulting forestry business.  In 1977 BIL became associated with Marcus Realty Inc. in Gresham, Oregon. In June, 1990, he joined RE/MAX in Portland, Oregon and was associated there until December, 2004. BIL then joined ERA Freeman & Assoc. in Gresham, OR where he is the principal broker  and co owner. In 2017 BIL obtained his Washington real estate license and now serves both states.


BIL is active in the community as well as several REALTOR organizations.  He served as 1989 President of the Greater Gresham Board of REALTORS, 1997 President of the Oregon Chapter of Certified Residential Specialists (CRS), as well as serving on the boards of directors of the Portland Youth Philharmonic Assn., the Healing Hope Seventh-day Adventist Fellowship in Portland, Hoodview Junior Academy, the National Assn. of REALTORS, Oregon Assn. of REALTORS, the Portland Metropolitan Assn. of REALTORS, the East Metro Assn. of REALTORS, the Board of Managers for the Oregon Real Estate Forms Corp., LLC, the Regional Multiple Listing Service and as a Regional Vice President for the Council of Residential Specialists. He was honored to be named REALTOR of the Year in 1990 and 2014 as well as CRS of the Year in 1998 and 2018.


BIL and his wife Nancy live on their tree farm near Corbett.  They are active in the community and regularly support the Healing Hope Seventh-day Adventist Fellowship where they serve in various responsibilities. Their hobbies include horses, rock hounding, music, hiking, gardening, traveling, and singing in a gospel quintet call Homeward.


BIL is constantly educating himself; he has received the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation, the highest attainable in residential real estate, as well as the Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) designation, the Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation, the Certified Residential Broker (CRB) designation and several real estate certifications.  This means that his clients can be assured that BIL is well prepared to meet the challenges in any real estate scenario.


BIL, along with his able assistant, Rhonda, focus their energies on serving their clientele with the utmost in professionalism, dedication and integrity, which are the cornerstones to his real estate practice.  He truly wants to be your “Real Estate Resource For Life.”
